Everything I make is an abstraction. I’m motivated to make marks because I want to know something, I’m curious or confused, maybe frustrated, possibly at a dead end in my understanding of SOMETHING.
Spending time where there are no words, and words couldn’t express what’s there or not there in any case, turns out to be an expressive and informative space. The rich exchange continues to expand when others see and respond to the marks with their own exploration. I’m delighted you are now a part of the adventure.
